Wedding flowers to go with colors??

There is a lot to go with my question. We are trying to stay on a budget and I saw a lot of great ideas for centerpieces and decorations that I can make myself.

We are getting married in October. Is red okay for that time of year? What flowers go with red. I know of roses but any other flower anyone can think of besides roses that are in season in October? I am trying to be creative but it's hard with so much to do. Thanks for your help.

Wedding flowers to go with colors??
My favorite bouquet for fall is the red and orange one.

Reply:Red is perfect for October!! There are lots of red flowers you could use. Here is a good article that might give you some floral and decorating ideas. Best wishes and congrats! http://www.flowershopnetwork.com/pages/n...
Reply:sunflowers are a good choice. I am doing my bridesmaids bouquets with red roses and sunflowers. They are very pretty and very festive for the autumn season. I am on a very tight budget as well so I am making everything my self. You can go to places like Garden ridge and get a look at fake flowers they have for the fall season. Even if you want to do real flowers it gives you a good starting off point. Hope this helps. :0)
Reply:Artificial flowers are always a great choice due to cost and you can keep them forever. I got married in Oct and I had all of my centerpieces and bouquets in yellow and white artificial roses. Artificial marigolds would go great with red roses throw some yellow or orange in for an autumn feel.
Reply:I think red will go great for that time of year. I really think that red lilies are stunning

Reply:Red is a great choice for the fall! I think it can be dome in several ways very nicely.

On color choice, there are a couple of ways to find good colors to go with red.

First, get a color wheel or go to http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/colori...

As you can see, the colors are placed into a circle. The colors directly to the left and right of Red are always good choices.

Also, the color across the wheel is a good choice. You can do this for *any* color to find what will work.

You can always pair a color with a neutral: White, ivory, or a shade of brown. Metallics can also be used as neutrals. You can combine both techniques as well...for example: Red, orange and White.

Flowers in season in october can be found at:

Reply:Dahlias, Runuculas, Anenomes, Roses, Calla Lillies, Tulips, Coxcomb

there are tons of lfowers that are red and in season. Just google it. And yes red is a great choice for fall.
Reply:I think red would be perfectly acceptable for that time of year. Red flowers come in carnations, roses, tulips, dahlias, gerbera gaisies, gladiolas...just to name a few.

If you are on a budget I would definitely go for the gerbera daisies. They are affordable and a nice looking flower (at least i think so). But Carnations are also very affordable, so you can maybe mix the two of them together.
