Increasing flowers on Baptisia australis?

I have a 2+ yr old plant that gave me about 3 stalks of flowers last summer. I know it takes a few years for these perennials to mature, but I wonder if there's something I can do in the way of pruning, fertilizing, watering, etc. to increase the amount of flowers I get per stalk, and stalks per plant.





I love my false indigo and want more of it!
