Is it ok to send flowers to girlfriend at her new workplace?

Basically I've never sent flowers to my girlfriend before. We've been together about 6 months. She starts a new job next week and I'm thinking of sending her some flowers. Is it ok to send them to her new place of work do you think or is that too soon? She won't even know her colleagues or anything so I'm not so sure.

Also, I'm not 100% sure what flowers she likes because she has never really struck me as someone in to that sort of thing but then all girls like flowers right?

Should I send some and if so, how do I go about finding out what ones she likes? Are red roses a winner every time?

Cheers!

why send flowers where she works in the first place when you can as easily give them to her after work yourself?

aside from a guesture to everyone emplyed there, that shes "my" girlfriend I dont see another need for it, especially since you are already going out 6 months now.

also its a new job, you would want to avoid making it more stressful for her... i wouldnt.. but thats just my humble opinion.
Reply:go ahead with your plan...you can also send her a tulips,or blue rose...your a one heck of a guy..your girlfriend is very luck for having you...
Reply:hey! that would be sweet. try to ask her friends about what flowers your girlfriend adores. goodluck dude!
Reply:ohhh it would be sweet of u! but, do it after she adjusts the new environment...
Reply:i think its a wonderful idea maybe ring the boss and see if its ok. caution if she is not into flowers maybe hayfever is the reason and her mum should know both the answer to that as well as her favorite blossoms. good luck with the job for her too.
Reply:It is never inappropriate to send flowers to your girlfriend, especially as a congratulatory gift on her new job. As far as what kind of flowers - personalize them! Look up her name on one of those baby name sites and see if it matches to either a specific type of flower or a color - I got lucky with my current interest, as her first and middle name translate to "beautiful lily". If that doesn't work, then yes, red roses are a winner every time. Although P.S. - no, not all girls like flowers. I used to work with a girl who did not like the flowers I sent her anonymously, so make sure she would appreciate them before plunking down fifty bucks.
Reply:Aww, very sweet. Well i would talk to her friends and see what kind of flowers she likes. Then i would leave it a couple of weeks so she can get to no some people, then you should.

Lovley surprise!
