Fake flowers..okay?

Here's the deal flowers are expensive and die in a few days so I don't see the point in spending hundreds of dollars on real ones. I got real flowers for the alter and my bouquet but I plan to get fake ones for the wedding party. What do you guys think?

Fake flowers..okay?
Perfect. It's your wedding, if your happy with them, why care what the others think.

After its done and over with the only thing you will have is the memory and pictures.

In pictures no one will know the difference.

Congratulation an your pending marriage.
Reply:I think its ok.... its your wedding and you can use the money to buy for other things that you really want... Congratulations!
Reply:I personally don't like the idea of fake flowers. I mean I don't mean to be rude, but they never look as nice as fresh flowers. For my girls I am trying to get their bouquets to smell great too! You can't do that with fake!
Reply:If you get fake flowers that look nice, no one will know the difference. My sister had all fake at her wedding, and no one had a clue!
Reply:ask your love 1 if its ok , for me as long as ur love is not fake
Reply:I think thats fine, i mean no one will notice if you get them looking really close as if they were real, besides it will only go to waste at the end of the night, this way they will have them forever as a keep sake and for memories. I say go for it, it will be fine.
Reply:it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. splurging is allowed, i think. but then as long as the ones in your hands are real, i don't see any problem with using fakes for other decorations. besides, you can use the budget for your honeymoon! :)
Reply:i think thats ok! expecially cause weddings are dramatically exspensive, and cost about a fortune! as long as bride, and bridesmaids have real flowers then i dont think any other flowers should really matter!
Reply:It's perfectly fine to have fake flowers. These days fake flowers can look so real nobody can tell. If you aren't sure if it's what you really want to do... you can do what I did for my first wedding - I had each bridesmaid carry one long stem rose, and the maid-of-honor carried two. It really was pretty. The florist tied a really bow on the stem, so it wasn't just plain. You don't have to do roses, there are other flowers with firm stems you could use, if you want to go the real flower route, but don't want to spend a lot of money. Congrats and good luck!
Reply:For a wedding, dont use fake. A marriage is a once in a lifetime happening. Why use fake? Dont safe cost on a wedding. Its ruin it.
Reply:Well, there's nothing wrong with fake flowers, but either all the bouquets are fake, or all are real. They have to match. Altar flowers can be different.
Reply:That's definitely fine. Good quality ones are just as nice. In fact, my friend got a lot of colorful scrapbook paper and made a whole bunch of really nice paper roses for her wedding reception.
Reply:Of course. Most of the people I know use fake flowers instead of real ones. Especially for the bouquet. So they can keep it.
Reply:Fake for the wedding party? EL CHEAPO!
Reply:My daughter is in the ballon bussiness and she decorates at alot of weddings with ballons. They are placed on the brides table , the gift table and other tables. Don't suggest you use them for your bouquet as you would look funny walking down the aisle with them and saying your vows holding them. LOL She makes some really pretty ballon bouquets and they are cheaper than flowers. check in your town for ballon companies that do this. Good Luck to you.
Reply:A lot of people are going with nice-looking fake flowers for weddings.

They last longer, logically, which means you won't have those disgusting wilting flowers halfway through the party, which is my worst nightmare for my wedding one day.

It is cheaper, and wiser, just as long as the flowers look good.
Reply:You can definitely use fake flowers! It will look fine, and you save plenty of money. Anyway, if you're really worried about that, I'm sure the rest of your party will be so great, no one will notice! Good luck!
Reply:they are perfectly fine, its your day. I am on a budget and I am using silk flowers.
Reply:A lot of people do that. This one lady for her wedding she made paper flowers and they looked awesome. Here is a pic.

Reply:No, all of the bouquets should be real. You can use fakes as table decorations and church decorations, but the flowers the bride and her attendants carry should be real.
Reply:No it is not ok. If you want a wedding you have to spend some money. You need real flowers on the tables and you need to hold real flowers because fake ones will look horrible and cheap in your wedding pictures.
Reply:i gruss you know where to place those fake flower at just bend down are you nut the big day in your life you want to do what nice joke get real
Reply:Good idea..
Reply:Not OK, my man. Seriously, go for the real thing. People read into your actions and this will send an unflattering message about you - that you cheap out on the little things when the little things are important. I know it looks like a waste of money but buying real ssays to the party that you care, you are giving, that little things are important, and you'll do anything to make a special day perfect. THAT is the message you want to send!!
Reply:AS LONG AS THE ''FAKE'' FLOWERS DONT LOOK LIKE THEY WERE PURCHASED AT THE LOCAL ''DOLLAR'' STORE, THEN HEY, GO W/ IT!! I AGREE ''REAL FLOWERS'' ARE EXTREMELY OVERPRICED (ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY DIE SHORTLY AFTERWARD) SO IF U CAN FIND PRETTY SILK ARTIFICIAL FLOWERS TO GO W/ UR WEDDING DECOR THEN GET THEM!!
Reply:All of my married friends have got the wedding party fake flowers so that they could keep them as a momento. They are wonderfully real looking, if you go to the right place. Check out the newspaper, around here it's usually people that work out of their homes that make them specifically for special occasions.

They are not cheesy or cheap. It's your wedding, do what you want, and more importantly, can afford!
Reply:well i dont know if you ever heard of the shop happily ever after weddings. well i am a wedding designer. and quite frankily i think that fake flowers are not ok. well first of all its you're big day. so splurge for it. Not all flowers are hundreds of dollars. I'm sure if you e-mail me i can find cheaper flowers. that are affordable and real. you can save money other ways to like consider a city park or a garden for you're cerimoney they are usually more inexpensive and very pretty. Chose plated meals over a buffet. Suprisingly, a plated meal is usually less expensive because the food costs are less for the caterer. Hope this helps =). if you need any help on finding anything you can email me at weddingsandesign@aol.com
Reply:Absolutely. Fake flowers look so real these days. I have been to weddings with fake flowers and they are beautiful.
Reply:what u are really looking for is a nice flower that is not real. try silks. check them out in your area. they are the latest thing and they are just as beautiful as the real ones for a portion of the costs.
Reply:It's your wedding, so it only matters what you think. I think that would be fine. Real flowers are nicer, but the most important part is the bouquet and alter... so as long as those ones are real, I don't see a problem.
Reply:Fake flowers can look just like real ones if you shop around. At the end of the day its your wedding.Do what makes you happy.Good luck for the big day.........
