Flowers in china?

Where are flower farms in china? i want to know the places names where flowers are grown in china.

Flowers in china?
The Yunnan region produces the most flowers. There is a Yunnan Flower Association and they have two websites. They probably have information like when the annual International Flower exhibitions will be held; each region has one and Beijing's exhibition is much larger than Yunnan's even though Yunnan produces more flowers. They could probably tell you exactly where to find flower farms too and they have a place called the Yunnan Flower Demonstration Park.

The districts of Lijiang and Zhongdian in the northwestern part of Yunnan province are the main production bases for flower bulbs and cut flowers. The districts of Kunming and Yuxi in the central part of Yunnan are core production areas for cut flowers and sub-tropical cut flowers. The districts of Jinhong, Yuanjiang and Hekou in the Southern part of Yunnan mainly produce tropical orchids, cut flowers and indoor foliage plants.

In general, the larger and more professional growers grow several flower varieties at their premises and few specialists are found. Carnation, lily and rose are the most popular varieties among the growers in Yunnan. The Jianchuan Yingmao Flower Co. is mainly focusing on the production of carnations. Rose growing specialists are Rose Yang, Tonghai Lidu and Haiyu Horticultural Co. Yuxi Mingzhu, Yuxi Jiahui and Chenjiang Xinrong Flower Co. concentrate on lilies.

In 2003, some 390 flower enterprises where registered in Yunnan province. These include state-owned companies, stock market-registered companies, private-owned companies, foreign companies and joint ventures. The number of ‘large’ enterprises (minimum of 3 hectares or turnover of Euro 500.000) grew from 85 in 2001 to 105 in 2003.

Most of the flowers grown in Yunnan are sold at the Dounan Wholesale Market in Chenggong.

Another big producer of flowers is Beijing. The national capital has 215 major flower growers that together cover up more than 3,000 hectares and produce some 70 million stems of fresh flowers and 35 million potted plants each year. Beijing's annual output adds up to 670 million yuan or about $80 million USD.
