What flowers to use?

my wedding colors are truffle (brown) and tourqiuose. I want something besides white flowers. any suggestions on what color would look good besides white? (not sure if there are tourqiuose flowers!)

What flowers to use?
There aren't any turqiuose flowers. I planned a wedding last year with those exact same colors, however, they chose to use white flowers for the brides bouquet. There is a brown flower called chocolate cosmos (they even smell like chocolate). They are delicate looking and even come in white as well.

They are very delicate so care has to be taken to use them in a bouquet. I think that for a brides bouquet that a cream and pink colored bouquet looks great.

One other option would be to use white flowers but use brown and turquoise accents. For instance wrap the stems fully in a luxurious brown satiny ribbon and then to add accents to the bouquet with turqouise crystals in your arrangement. Or some florist even have a paint that they use on the tips of flowers to give them color. Maybe have your white flowers tipped in a turquoise color. You would have to seek the advise of your florist on this as they may not be familiar with those processes.
Reply:green leaves or pink roses.
Reply:I'm thinking hydrangeas (which can be pink or blue, depending), calla lilies, or even stargazers - which are usually a pink %26amp; white color....very dramatic.
Reply:I know this is fairly useless and I apologise. There are brown flowers out there. I was looking on a uk website and skirted past a question where someone asked about brown flowers. I wish I could remember which website it was. I think I just googled wedding flowers. I would imagine you can get turquoise flowers, and that they would be quite exotic. Sorry. Good luck with it.
Reply:Depending on your wedding budget you can have the flowers dyed whichever color you'd like. A turquoise %26amp; white flower would look beauitful. Yellow might look nice as well.

Good Luck!
Reply:For love red rose

for friendship pink rose

Reply:maybe something in the yellow/orange family...it would be really pretty with deep brown and turq. CONGRATS!!
Reply:Hydrangea's are dreamy, perfect for a wedding, and you can get them in many colors, including blue %26amp; green, which would look great with your colors. Many flowers come in soft blues, which would look appropriate with your color scheme as well. Have you ever seen a blue rose? It might just be the flower you are looking for, gorgeous and different.
Reply:how about flower with golden brown color...im not sure of the name of the flower but i you still ahve time you can go to flower shop or ask a florist...
Reply:There is a variety of hydrangeas that look almost turquoise blue. They're quite lovely and go well with white flowers and greenery. Hydrangeas come in a variety of colors from white to green to purple to pale blue and even royal blue. They make beautiful arrangements. I'm planning on using them in my own wedding. Our colors are going to be some variety of blues, I just haven't settled on which ones yet. You could also use colors that will compliment. Pale pink roses or peonies would look very pretty with that color scheme. Here are some websites that have suggestions for flowers.
Reply:If you go to any fake flower store they're will be about any color even torquoise. If you wan't real then I would get the closest color to torquiose any flower shop has, maybe a light blue.
Reply:Pink would be a good option, it would compliment.

Also, I googled some things. Here is what I found (I guess it depends on the shade of "turquoise" you are using.):

You could also "dye" the flowers:

*You can buy color to spray on the flowers.

*You could also put food coloring in the water with white flowers to change the color.

You could also go with silk if you could find that color. They look just as good, better in pictures, IMHO.

Reply:Don't really know if this is relevant but in the Sepu Kangrimountain range in Tibet there is a peak called Seamo Uylmitok which means turquoise flower. There are quite a few flowers with a hint of brown such as daylillies, a bearded iris and there's also a rare pansy which has brown hues, don't know any of the actual names I'm afraid but if your friend is a florist she should be able to help. Failing that take along swatches of your wedding colours to the florist and find matching colours.
Reply:A perfessional florist would be better help. Go to your local flower shops with swatches of your colors.
Reply:Any color in the pink family would look really nice.
Reply:how about some yellow ones?
