What do flowers mean to you??

What do flowers mean for you? What is your favorite flower? Is the color of the flower something that influences in your like for it???

What do flowers mean to you??
Sunflowers are my favorite. I love them because my Nana and I have always had a connection through them. Growing up, she always made me dresses featuring the pretty yellow flowers. She made me a sunflower cake for my birthday one year. She bought me the Sunflower perfume that I begged my mother for when I was 13 with no luck, and other little things. I never really thought about it until she passed away.

I in my living room about a month afer she died, alone and sobbing because I missed her so much (She was my favorite person in the world and I had a VERY hard time with her death). I had a dried sunflower from her funeral in a vase on a shelf on my wall. All of a sudden, that vase fell off of that shelf! It had been sitting right next to another, which didn't move. The petals scattered all over the room. To me, it was my Nana's way off telling me she's still watching over me. I never would have believed anything like that until that night.

It's been 4 years since I lost her, and it's still tough. Every time I see a sunflower though, I smile and feel a profound sense of love. I know that my Nana is still with me, and sunflowers did that for me. (Sorry so long, and thank you for the question. It felt good to write that!)

Reply:They mean joy, happiness, good cheer, beauty and, love to me.

So many are so beautiful but perhaps I'll say the sweet pea is my favorite since I love the smell from a bunch of them. Yes, color does have some influence on my like of certain flowers over others.
Reply:Flowers are symbols of life, renewal, the beauty of nature...

Personally, I've always been partial to irises and tulips. Irises have beautiful color combinations, but they're also such a paradox - fragile but hardy, with lightweight, paper-thin blossoms and thick, tough stem...their root systems are fabulous for spreading all over the place...every spring, my iris platings seem to grow on their own!

Tulips are just plain pretty -symbols of spring and Easter-time. They come in a hughe assortmentf colours, including an amazing purple-blue-black that I've recently fallen in love with...
